Makeups and Service Dates

  • We recommend that you don’t use a start date before the date you start logging your work in SchoolTx because it may result in SchoolTx reporting that you owe a lot of time that you may have already done, but did not log in SchoolTx. In this case, we recommend you use the date when you start using the software. For example, if you just started using SchoolTx today, you could use today’s date even if the plan started months ago.

If a student is owed time, you can use the makeup time to account for that.

An alternative is to use the actual plan start dates but set the school term start dates to today. SchoolTx will not count time that school was not in session so only the time starting today will be counted.

  • Make-up time is used to account for time that was owed before you or your team became responsible for a student’s services. For example, if you get a new student who was owed time from the previous provider or school, you can enter that as make-up time.

Make-up time can also be used for accounting for time owed before you started using SchoolTx (see previous question).
